NO BOOKING OR OWNER’S FEES absolutely no add-ons!
THIS IS NOTHING LIKE DEALING WITH Vrbo or AirB&B! We are truly…BY OWNER
Lucky Enough does NOT have instant booking. All reservations are taken by the homeowner in order to assure that Lucky is the right home for you and your family. You can send a booking request or just ask a question by setting up an account, logging in and clicking on the contact homeowner button. If you have a problem call me on 443-610-9901.
We can be flexible in our FRIDAY to FRIDAY check-in and out. ( In the summer fri to fri gives you an entire weekend for your stay, less traffic on the bridge and the supermarket will be easier to navigate!)
Fall and winter allow driving on the beach (with town purchased permit), deck sunning in the mornings, leisurely walks on the beach, or long bike rides on the 12 miles of our bike and pedestrian path, and then put on your cozy cable knit sweater to enjoy the sunset from the rooftop deck. And…well, you know there are no crowds, but many businesses are still open for locals and special guests!

The Rosenbalm Family (2024)
Lucky Enough is my absolute favorite beach vacation home of all time for more reasons that I can name! But here are a few. First – the location is ideal. Situated directly across from the beach access boardwalk and just up the street from entry to “The Point,” you have easy access to waves, calm waters, and wide open beaches. There is more wildlife than people, and the sunsets over the water from the Point are spectacular. Second – the enormous balconies, including a rooftop deck. You will have the highest vantage point of anyone within sight, offering fabulous views of the ocean, the sound, sunrises, and sunsets. Third – the pool! Just the right size for splashing and lounging, with cool, shaded seating under a ceiling fan; if you aren’t at the beach, you will want to be here. Fourth – the house! I mean, the setting is so spectacular you may never want to come inside – but when you do, you will have everything you need right at your fingertips. The house is beautifully appointed with a spacious living area for spending time with your family or friends. Truly — if you are lucky enough to stay in this home, you are lucky enough!
Carol Villagran ( July 2024)
Lucky Enough is a beautifully decorated home with the best of everything at The Pointe. The location is outstanding directly across from beach access to a wide quiet beach. The views from the many decks are gorgeous and we loved watching the ocean and the occasional kite surfer. The kitchen is well-equipped, the living areas are large and comfortable and the dining area is perfect for families. The pool is lovely and the pool area has every accessory you could need. The homeowner has thought of everything to create the perfect vacation home. This was our second vacation at Lucky Enough. We will be back!
The Spickler Family ( June 2023)
Our family has enjoyed spending time at Lucky Enough during the past three summers and is grateful for memories made in Anne’s beautiful home. We always enjoy the gorgeous ocean and sound views from the decks and many rooms in the home. (The top-level deck is perfect for having a relaxing breakfast while taking in the ocean views.) Every evening, we head to the crow’s nest to watch the sunset.
Staying at Lucky Enough feels like coming to a friend’s house. The house is incredibly clean, the rooms are spacious, the furniture is comfortable, and the kitchen is stocked. Our family always appreciates having two living rooms for relaxing. The kids’ bunk room does not have an exterior door, which is wonderful for families with children. The elevator (located inside the front door) makes loading and unloading our suitcases and gear so much easier.
We love having the beach access just across the street (with another beach access a short walk away). On days that we want to stay by the pool, there is plenty of space to relax in the sun or in the shade. The two outdoor showers (with hot and cold water) and the half bath by the pool are wonderful to have.
Another perk of staying at Lucky Enough is the quiet street. Having no public parking near the home allows for plenty of open space on the beach. We enjoy the peace of reading books or being in the ocean without being surrounded by noisy crowds.
We’re so happy to have found Lucky Enough during a random search several years ago. We are the lucky ones.
The Young Family
Thanks so much, Anne! Our family had a wonderful time at your house! It is the nicest and best laid-out beach house that we have ever stayed at! It was the perfect house for our family of 8! The kitchen is so well equipped- we had everything we needed and more! It was great to have such nice living rooms on both the second and third floors. The pool was a big hit with our family and having two enclosed showers with benches and a half bath next to it made it even better! We loved the comfortable covered seating area around the pool – we could watch the kids in the pool and stay cool in the shade! We also had fun playing volleyball and were glad that we had our court to use. We loved the crow’s nest and the amazing view from it! It was very apparent that a lot of thought went into the design and features of “Lucky Enough“ and I hope that we are lucky enough to stay there again!!
Schueller Family
We have been vacationing at Emerald Isle since 1999 and discovered “The Point” in the early 2000s. We can truly say that Lucky Enough was absolutely the best house we have stayed at. First off, the elevator made loading in and out very easy. We remember carrying luggage and groceries up several flights of stairs in years past. Not bad when you’re young, but the years have a way of making once-easy tasks harder! Of course, the home is immaculate and well laid out. We especially appreciated the pantry, something a lot of the houses down here lacked. The pool was another wonderful feature, especially when the surf was rough due to a developing hurricane a couple of hundred miles offshore. We had good beach weather every day, except for one afternoon when a storm passed through. Of course, that’s to be expected in the Summer. It’s nice that the beach access is right across the street. In conclusion, you can’t go wrong with spending your vacation at Lucky Enough. We’re thankful that our family was lucky enough to find this wonderful home.
Patchett Family
Our family could not have been happier with this wonderful beach home! Although we were just six (two grandparents, two adults, and two kids) the house was PERFECT.
The house was immaculately CLEAN when we arrived. All the sheets and towels anyone could need. A washer-dryer that actually worked. A sparkling refrigerator and plenty of pantry space for your stuff. An elevator for getting your stuff into the house.
We used all of the spaces and everyone had both privacy and plenty of room to stretch out despite our 50+ books, toys, beach gear, swim stuff, goggles, multiple devices that needed charging, and a high chair, pack, and play. And more.
The kitchen is a marvel with a view. We all loved the rooftop deck for its view in the evening as the sunset in the west. We even flew a kite off the roof for our three-year-old.
The combination of the pool in the back and the beach in the front made for a great and unexpected combo. We could have lunch on the deck in the heat of the day, loll around the pool, and go over to the beach at any time. And what a beach!! Wide, clean, very few people. One of the most beautiful we’ve seen in NC or anywhere else including Bermuda, Europe, and Kiawah Island.
Oh yeah, and the wide decks and the swing are the best. Everything including the furniture is in tip-top shape.
Lastly, you cannot beat the location. It’s a right turn off the Route 58 bridge, then a short drive to The Point. It’s dead-end so almost no traffic. No frantic beach parking is needed because you are already there. VERY FAMILY-FRIENDLY.
